Sugar Free VS. Total Zero
I’m a Red Bull addict. I got to meetings. There hasn’t been a new Red Bull product since the Cola/Shots came through. They were uninspiring to say the least. So when I started seeing the signs for Total Zero I was pumped. I had to try it. I haven’t had a Regular Red Bul in years, so my comparison was Sugar Free Red Bull. Evidently, I am quite alone when I say I love the taste of Red Bull it has been compared (so lovingly) to “bile,” and “battery-acid.” Kick rocks, I say. Surprisingly, the two drinks are quite different. Total Zero is moving a bit closer to a Monster flavor. Total Zero is certainly not as acidic or sharp tasting as Sugar Free. It tastes a bit sweeter too. And possibly more fruity? At first sip I despised it. But I have found myself picking it up over the past few weeks, as I usually refrain from Monster. Total Zero is a cool if you need a break from your regular Red Bull vice, or for people very new to Red Bull. I can definitely see it sticking around. Conclusion? Psssh. I would call it a toss up. For me? This means I’ll never have to buy a Monster again. If only Red Bull made sick ass shirts, I wouldn’t look like such a caffeine poseur.
That Mio Energy Jawn
So I picked up one of these before work at 711. I was curious, and not because of the weird animated critter commercials, just because I’m a huge sucker for energy drinks. I picked up black cherry.
So I will start with saying that I like Mio, the regular one. I think it’s a good idea and quite handy. This tastes just like regular Mio. No added chemical taste that I can notice. But! As much as I love the idea, I don’t see myself.getting this again. I will certainly stick with the regular Mio, but I am a die hard Red Bull fan boy. So it would be caffeine overkill with Mio energy. It will have its place with some people, just not with me.
